Boardman Civic Announces Annual Award Winners

BOARDMAN, Ohio – Rob Fellman, Bill and Karen Veri, Jack Nichols, Akron Children’s Hospital and High Octane Coffee will be honored Feb. 22 by the Boardman Civic Association at its annual community awards dinner in the Lariccia Family Community Center in Boardman Park.

The dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., says George Farris, president of the township civic association.

Fellman, chosen “business person of the year,” is the owner of Boardman Subaru on South Avenue.

The Veris will receive the community service award.

    Nichols, who recently retired as police chief of the township, is honored as “citizen of the year.”

    The Mahoning Valley campus of Akron Children’s Hospital will receive the “best new building award.”
