Bodine Perry Sees Strong 2020

CANFIELD – A 15% year-over-year increase in revenue in 2019 is driving Bodine Perry to seek more market penetration and expansion this year.

Last year, the accounting firm acquired two firms in Florida, further expanding and diversifying its presence in the South. Since 2002, Bodine Perry has grown to employ just over 100 and serve more than 10,000 clients through six offices in Ohio and Florida, says Bruce Flyak, partner-in-charge.

In 2019, Bodine Perry welcomed new partners to its group: Paul Fullerman, Columbus; Dyam Sanchez, Naples, Fla.; and Justin Yost, Canfield. Other new staff include David Pecchia, CPA and controller, and Laura VanNess, director of marketing.

To support its offices, the firm invested in a central cloud-based server. The investment provides added convenience to clients and increases firm efficiency, completing the process of Bodine Perry becoming a paperless firm, Flyak says.

In the fourth quarter, Bodine Perry began a major renovation of its building here, including office spaces previously rented to other businesses. This space will be used to accommodate expansion this year.

Through job opportunities, team member development and career growth strategies, the firm is working to recruit and retain top accountants, Flyak adds.
