Brite Partners with TechGrowth to Expand Support Network
WARREN, Ohio – Brite Energy Innovators has entered a partnership with TechGrowth Ohio, a move that will allow the downtown Warren incubator to expand its support network across Ohio.
Based at Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, TechGrowth Ohio connected early-stage companies in health care, advanced energy and digital media to investors and tools that can help them grow.
“This partnership provides critical geographic inroads for us,” said Brite CEO Rick Stockburger in a statement. “We have a growing offering of services to provide startups to overcome commercialization obstacles, but we need a strong partner in that historically rich energy region to help us move forward. We have that in TechGrowth.”
Brite is the state’s only energy-company incubator. Since it was founded, it has helped nearly 300 startups and facilitated more than $135 million in investor connections.
“We are very pleased to partner with Brite to bring additional resources and assistance to our clients and portfolio companies,” said Jane New, manager of investments and new
business development at TechGrowth. “This region has a strong background of innovation related to energy and the environment and BRITE’s focus in this arena will be a great addition to the resources we can provide.”
