Business Journal Announces 4 Winners of Free Ad Space

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- –  The four winners of free advertising in The Business Journal’s Facebook promotion are Shepherd Self Storage, American Food Forests, Sandra Cika and Monica Allison, Publisher Andrea Wood announced today.

The promotion was conducted as a lead up to the launch of The Business Journal’s digitally remastered website, which made its debut Monday.

Nearly 300 individuals and businesses entered to win three quarter-page ads in The Business Journal print edition, Wood said. Winners were chosen at random by using software from a Facebook-preferred marketing developer.

“A big thank you to all our readers who took the time to enter the contest,” Wood said, “and we truly appreciate the many who left congratulatory and encouraging comments about The Business Journal and our new website.

“One comment in particular called the new website a ‘labor of love,’ and it couldn’t be more fitting in our case. It’s satisfying to know so many people rely on us for their Mahoning Valley business news every day, and we’re proud to deliver the information they need with greater speed, efficiency and visual impact.”

Features of the redesigned website include optimized video functionality across all platforms, a modernized homepage look with more emphasis on images, greater responsiveness for the end-user and additional opportunities for exposure for advertisers, among other improvements.

The Business Journal worked with Youngstown’s Jet Creative Productions and CYO Marketing on the project. Both companies are based downtown, as is The Business Journal.
