SALEM, Ohio – The University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at Salem Regional Medical Center has been recognized by the American College of Surgeons for continued excellence in improving survival and quality of life for area cancer patients.

SRMC voluntarily participates in multiple ACS Quality Programs, reflecting a commitment to maintaining a high level of care across various surgical specialties. This includes national accreditation from:

  • The Commission on Cancer, which is awarded only to facilities that meet or exceed rigorous standards in diagnosing, treating and supporting patients with cancer and their families.
  • The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, assuring that patients with breast disease receive comprehensive, high-quality care through screening, prevention, early detection and diagnosis and advanced treatments.
