CCCTC to Host Trades and Treats Career Exploration Event

LISBON, Ohio – The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center will host its third annual middle school career exploration event, with a new twist for Halloween.

Trades and Treats will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at the center, 9364 state Route 45.

Middle school students from Columbiana County and surrounding county schools who are eligible for open enrollment, along with their parents or guardians, are invited to enter CCCTC through a straw maze and enjoy the relaxed, open house-style event.

Attendees are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes, and there will be gift card prizes for the best student costumes. Students can also play career path bingo. Drawings for prizes will start at 7 p.m., and the grand prize will be drawn at the end of the event.

Students will be introduced to the various career paths available to them. Attendees will be able to move about the building freely and visit up to 12 career path labs available for enrollment. Each lab will have treats for the students, and there will be a Halloween-related career path activity. In each lab, students will meet the instructors and receive a sticker for their career path bingo card.

Refreshments will be provided during the event.
