Centofanti Foundation Donates $150K to Beatitude House
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The James and Coralie Centofanti Charitable Foundation has committed $150,000 to support a new wellness program for children at Beatitude House.
The five-year commitment will help Beatitude House address the social and economic challenges that can lead to poor health outcomes.
“This program provides basic services to address the underlying social and economic challenges of the most vulnerable children of the Mahoning Valley,” said Mark Graham, chairman of the Centofanti Foundation’s distribution committee.
The program will begin this winter, said Beatitude’s co-director, Teresa Boyce.
“By treating the whole child – mind, body and spirit – we can have a longer lasting impact on their lives,” she added.
Founded in 1988 by Sister Margaret Scheetz, Beatitude House provides housing, educational opportunities and family support for women and children in the Mahoning Valley.
