Certified Naturalist Training Offered at OSU Extension
CANFIELD, Ohio – All nature lovers, bird watchers, and overall outdoor enthusiasts, can receive Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist (OCVN) program training at Mahoning County’s Ohio State University extension office in Canfield starting Jan. 22.
Soils, botany, entomology and environmental stewardship are a few of the topics that will be covered in OCVN training, along with input from speakers.
After training, volunteers are paired with parks, nature centers, and other locations to provide services with skills learned from the program.

Training will be held two Mondays per month and three Saturdays from the end of January through May 19.
Cost of the program is $175, which includes the program manual, refreshments, and meals that are provided.
