Chamber to Detail Outreach During GOP Convention

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber will unveil a strategy Thursday to promote the Mahoning Valley during the upcoming Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

At a news conference at the Covelli Centre, the chamber and its partners will detail an initiative designed to help the Valley capitalize on the global attention focused on northeastern Ohio during the GOP convention, which 15,000 credentialed media and 50,000 guests will attend, according to a chamber news release.

The chamber’s vice president of government affairs, Guy Coviello, and senior vice president of economic development, Sarah Boyarko, and David Myhal of The 316 Group in Columbus, a consultant who has been assisting the chamber, will outline the chamber’s plans for the event.

The convention, during which Republicans will formally nominate their candidate for president, which will take place July 18 to 21 at Quicken Loans Arena.
