Chamber to Honor Sheely’s Leaders at Salute to Business
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber has named the managing partners of Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance as its Small Business Professionals of the Year. The three will be honored at the chamber’s Salute to Business later this month.
Jessica Smith, Jeff Curry and Lance Romeo took over operations of the North Lima store last summer after the retirement of Dale and Sherry Sheely.
“We are deeply honored to receive this award and see it first and foremost as a testament to the efforts of our more than 150 dedicated employees,” said Curry, who serves as general manager, in a statement.
Sheely’s was founded in 1952 by Dale Sheely Sr., Smith’s grandfather. Curry and Romeo are both long-time employees. The store, 11450 South Ave., has an 80,000-square-foot showroom and a 150,000-square-foot warehouse.
“We also want to thank the thousands of customers, including the many families who have made Sheely’s their furniture and appliance store of choice across multiple generations, for their support and loyalty,” Romeo said.
Added Smith, “We recognize the Regional Chamber has many members who are worthy of this honor and thank the Chamber for taking the time to single out our own success story with this award.”
The three will receive the award at the Regional Chamber’s Salute to Business breakfast, held Aug. 29 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman. Also receiving awards are James Dascenzo, principal for HBK CPAs & Consultants, Business Professional of the Year; M.
