Chamber Wins Award for Lordstown Motors Supplier Events

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Ohio Economic Development Agency has presented the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber with its annual Excellence in Marketing & Communications Award for the supplier events it held on behalf of Lordstown Motors Corp.

The pair of events, held in January and February, attracted more than 800 representatives of nearly 600 companies from across Ohio, as well as 19 other states and three countries. The events highlighted the opportunities available to be part of Lordstown Motor’s supply chain.

At the events, Lordstown Motors staff provided an overview of their processes, vehicle design and future needs. Attendees had the chance to meet directly with executives of the electric-vehicle startup.

“It is always nice to be recognized by your peers for a job well done. Our procurement events have been a great way for our members to connect with the local companies we’re assisting with expanding and those we attract to the market,” said Regional Chamber chief operating officer Sarah Boyarko in a statement. “The LMC event was especially successful for service providers to connect with the LMC executive team and one another. We received a great deal of positive feedback from the participants.”

The award was presented during OEDA’s Annual Excellence Awards ceremony, held virtually. The event is held during the agency’s Annual Summit, its largest conference.
