Charlie Staples Issues Voluntary Recall of Sauces
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Charlie Staples Bar-B-Que has issued a voluntary recall of its 20-ounce original and hot barbecue sauces.
According to the Ohio Department of Agriculture, the recall is due to the sauces being produced without proper oversight. There have been no reports of illness.
Affected products were available at retail stores throughout Ohio.
The Department of Agriculture, which oversees food safety in the state, said any purchase of the product made at retail sites before March 20 should be disposed of or returned to the Charlie Staples restaurant, 372 W. Rayen Ave.
