CityScape to Honor Rev. Murphy, Ursuline at Grass Roots Gala

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown CityScape will host its 14th annual Grass Roots Gala on May 8 at Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall.

A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m.

During the event, the Rev. Richard Murphy, president of Ursuline High School, will receive the Sweet Grass Roots Award. Murphy and the school are passionate about helping Youngstown CityScape realize its vision of a revitalized downtown and are committed to building a stronger community, the organization said in announcing the event. Murphy is also a member of CityScape’s board.

“Rev. Murphy and Ursuline High School’s compassion for the people of this Valley is boundless,” the announcement states.
