Columbiana Awarded $96K to Revitalize Former Gas Station Site
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The city of Columbiana will receive $96,295 to revitalize the site of a former gas station at 31 E. Park Ave.
Rick Feezle, a local developer, is planning to renovate the existing building for commercial use.
The funds, from the state’s Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup program, were announced Monday by the Ohio Department of Development as part of nearly $6.4 million awarded through four state-funded programs designed to support community enhancement and fuel business growth.
Six projects will be funded through the Regional 166 Direct Loan Program; two communities, including Columbiana, will benefit from Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup grants; one community will receive a Roadwork Development Grant; and one community will benefit from the Rural Industrial Park Loan program.
