Compass to Host Screening of Wonder Woman for Young Women

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Compass Rape Crisis & Counseling Center will host a private screening of Wonder Woman for young women at the Regal Austintown Plaza theater at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Compass is inviting young women to attend the movie with an important female figure in their life, whether it’s a mom, aunt, coach or anyone else.

“We are inviting young women to attend because they are strong and courageous already – but sometimes we need a role model to remind us that it is okay to stand up, use our voices, and seek justice for others,” said Compass marketing director Jennifer Varley Gray. “We hope that Wonder Woman will inspire our young women to use their voices in powerful ways as they grow older. We hope these young women will be empowered to seek justice for those that need it and support survivors throughout their lives.”

The screening will not include any sort of presentation, Varley Gray added, noting that the screening is intended as a gathering to celebrate strong women and enjoy a summer blockbuster.
