Eastgate Annual Meeting to Focus on Regional Initiatives

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Eastgate Regional Council of Governments’ annual meeting will take place May 15 at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The event will kick off at 7:30 with registration and networking, followed by remarks from Justin Mondok, Eastgate Planning & Development director, and James Kinnick, Eastgate executive director, about Eastgate’s continued work on regional initiatives.

Erica Spaid-Patras, research director with the Greater Ohio Policy Center, will discuss developing a regional housing strategy for Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

A panel will discuss Valley Vision, the newly formed Lake to River Economic Development region and other topics. The panel will include Lynnette Forde, president of The Youngstown Foundation; Alexa Sweeney Blackann, Lake to River Economic Development interim CEO; and Guy Coviello, president and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.
