Eastwood Complex Opens May 12 Under Safe-Distancing Guidelines

NILES, Ohio – The Eastwood Mall Complex will reopen to the public May 12 with normal operating hours – 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. But in announcing the reopening, mall complex officials advised patrons to call or check online for the hours of operations of individual stores.

“While the mall itself will be open, some stores, restaurants and other businesses may be opening at a later date or with alterations to their normal routine,” said spokesman Joe Bell.

The mall complex is strictly observing state guidelines as listed here, and officials urge all businesses and patrons to follow the guidelines as well, he noted. Best practices will be employed to enhance social distancing and mall complex employees will be wearing face coverings in accordance with state and CDC guidelines. In addition, already stringent cleaning guidelines have been intensified, according to Bell, particularly in “high-touch” areas.

Visitors will also notice new signage and physical barriers to encourage safe-distancing.
