Eastwood Event Centre, to Open in October, Now Taking Bookings

NILES, Ohio — The long-awaited Eastwood Event Centre is now under construction at the Eastwood Mall complex. And although it won’t be ready to host guests for months, it is accepting bookings. 

The event center is expected to be available for functions starting Oct. 1, says Joe Bell, director of corporate communications for Cafaro Company. It will be operated by Columbus Hospitality Management, which manages a broad portfolio of conference centers, hotels, clubs, corporate housing and entertainment venues, according to Bell.

The 33,000-square-foot building will be attached the mall and the Residence Inn by Marriott. The event center will have the capacity of hosting as many as 1,000 guests for a sit-down dinner or more intimate gatherings of 30-or-so people, Bell continues.

It will be equipped with audio, video and data transmission capabilities, and a commercial kitchen that will be able to satisfy “discerning gourmands,” he says.
