EGCC Holds Inaugural Golf Outing Sept. 20

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Eastern Gateway Community College Foundation is holding its first golf outing Sept. 20 at Knoll Run Golf Course at 1421 Struthers-Coitsville Road in Lowellville.

The outing will benefit students at EGCC, helping students overcome barriers that would prevent them from attending class, said Arthur Daly, EGCC Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer in a statement.

Registration and sponsorship information are available HERE.

“Many of our students in our service district fall on hard times including unexpected emergencies like utility issues, automobile issues, transpiration issues as well as food insecurity,” Daly says. “We are developing a funding source that will reduce or in some cases eliminate those barriers they face every day.”

Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the scramble starting at 10:15 a.m. The event includes golf, cart, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Contact Daly for more information at EGCCGOLF@egcc.edu or 330-480-0726, ext. 3109.
