GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation will kick off its Richard G. Staley Visionary Entrepreneur Speaker Series at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 in Sticht Lecture Hall in the Hall of Arts and Letters on campus.

The first lecture – “You Might Be An Entrepreneur and Not Even Know It!” – will be delivered by Wendy Mascio, CEO of Workscape Inc.

Workscape is a Pittsburgh-based enterprise that helps companies meet organizational challenges, such as attracting, engaging and retaining top talent, by creating beautiful and effective work environments. Mascio received a B.S. in biology and minored in business and chemistry while attending Grove City College.

At 4 p.m. Mar. 7 in the Great Room of Breen Student Union, Andrew Cunningham, owner of New Horizons Mozambique, will discuss “Starting from Scratch: How Entrepreneurship & Chickens are Fighting Poverty in Mozambique.” Cunningham, a Zimbabwean farmer, started the company in 2005 to help rural farmers produce the lowest-cost chicken in the world. New Horizons relies on 210 subsistence farmers to raise its chickens. The company provides training and advice.

At 7 p.m. April 6, in the Sticht Lecture Hall, Sam Weber will present “Stop Talking… Start Doing!” Weber is the founder and CEO of Profile Passer, an app that connects high school soccer players with college recruiters. She came up with the app while she was a senior at Grove City College, where she studied English and played varsity soccer. In 2014, Profile Passer was included on Inc. Magazine’s list of “Coolest College Startups in America.”

The speaker series brings successful entrepreneurs to Grove City College to share stories of success, experience and advice with students. The series is named for Richard G. Staley, a chemical engineering major during his time at Grove City College who founded Flavor House, a flavoring and extract manufacturer.

The lectures are free and open to the public, but registration is required. Visit www.gccentrepreneurship.com/attend to register.
