Farmers Named Ohio’s Top-Performing Bank

CANFIELD, Ohio – Farmers National Bank has been named the top-performing bank in Ohio by Bank Director magazine, as well as No. 17 in the country.

In its annual Bank Scorecard Report, the magazine ranks banks on performance measures including profitability, capital adequacy and asset quality.

This ranking is the ultimate honor and validation for our associates and their remarkable commitment to making an impact for the local communities and businesses we serve,” said Farmers President and CEO Kevin J. Helmick in a statement.

In the second quarter, the bank’s parent company, Farmers National Banc Corp., reported net income of $15.6 million and total loans of $1.96 billion. Assets for the company, which also includes Farmers Trust Co. and Farmers national Insurance, totaled $3.26 billion.
