FirstLight Home Care Opens Salem Recruiting Office
SALEM, Ohio – FirstLight Home Care of the Valley is opening a part-time recruiting office here to hire more caregivers from Columbiana County.
“We’ve seen increased demand across Columbiana County for our services and would like to recruit more caregivers from this area,” said Michael Senchak, FirstLight administrator and co-owner. “Having a local office in Salem will make it more convenient for caregivers to apply and interview without having to travel to our main office in Austintown.”
The Salem recruiting office at 2380 Southeast Blvd. will take applications and interviews every Wednesday from noon to 5 p.m. starting today. The office is located within Ankle & Foot Care Centers.
The jobs pay between $9.50 and $11.50 an hour, depending on experience and credentials, for non-medical home care to local residents.
FirstLight offers complete companion and personal care services for seniors; those recovering from illness, injury or surgery; adults with disabilities; and others in need of assistance.
FirstLight is looking to hire 12 caregivers as soon as possible and expects more openings later this year. Ideal candidates would have certification as state tested nurses aides, home health aides, or have care giving experience, Senchak said.
