‘From Bagels to Business’ to Focus on Publishing
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The next installment in Score Youngstown’s From Bagels to Business lecture series will focus on how to become a published author.
The May 30 program will feature Dale Perelman, retired president of the King’s Jewelry chain, and Karen Schubert, director and founder of LitYoungstown.
Perelman, who has authored several books on the regional steel industry, recently co-wrote a book on the Scottish Rite Cathedral for Arcadia Publishing and The History Press.
In 2015, Schubert, a poet with four published books of poetry, founded LitYoungstown, a nonprofit established to promote literary arts in the area. LitYoungstown is the publisher of Phenomenal Women: Twelve Youngstown Stories.
The free event will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Kravitz Deli, 3135 Belmont Ave. Walk-ins are welcome although reservations are encouraged. Reservations can be made by calling Score Youngstown at 330 941 2948 or via email, [email protected].
