Habitat for Humanity to Open Trumbull ReStore

STRUTHERS, Ohio – After adding new staff, streamlining retail operations and launching a new fundraising event, Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley enters 2020 with its eye on expansion.

On the agenda are opening a ReStore in Trumbull County, adding a bookstore and café to the Struthers ReStore and expanding a repair program for homeowners in existing Habitat houses.

“The investments we’re planning on making are to keep us moving forward,” says Scott Taylor, executive director.

Revenue at the nonprofit was flat between 2018 and 2019, as Taylor came aboard and the agency was without a construction manager for eight months.

The construction manager position has been filled and Habitat also added a volunteer coordinator and outreach coordinator, bringing employment to 22.
