Haltec to Receive Chamber’s Excellence in Manufacturing Award
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Salem-based Haltec Corp. is the recipient of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s second annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award, the Regional Chamber announced today.
The company manufactures valve systems for rubber tires, and serves customers in the mining, fleet transportation, and aeronautics market segments.
The Regional Chamber, along with its partner, the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network, or Magnet, will honor the company at the Chamber’s Economic Forecast Breakfast Nov. 14.
“Over the last 10 years, we’ve experienced excellent growth,” says Dave Caruso, vice president. “We supply tire valves to anybody outside of automotive.” The company today employs about 120.

Currently, Haltec is expanding operations at the World Trade Park in Leetonia.
Haltec was one of 12 companies nominated this year for the award, the Chamber said.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to recognize another significant employer in our market,” said Sarah Boyarko, chief operating officer at the Regional Chamber. “Haltec has increased its exports by 20% over the past two years and also continues to increase its market share in the U.S. With a full range of services at its Salem facility, Haltec has become more efficient and innovative over the years to better service customers.”
