Harding High School to Participate in African American Studies Pilot Course
WARREN, Ohio – Warren G. Harding High School is among a select group of U.S. schools that will participate in an Advanced Placement African American Studies pilot course, the Warren City School District announced Thursday.
The course, which will be offered at Harding during the 2023-24 school year, provides an evidence-based introduction to African American studies and reaches into a variety of fields, including literature, the arts and humanities, political science, geography and science to explore the contributions and experiences of African Americans, a news release states.
“We at Warren G. Harding High School are excited about expanding opportunities for our students and pleased to be selected to pilot the course,” Principal Sandra Williams said. “We believe this provides another pathway for the students to delve deeper into cultural knowledge and awareness.”
