HD Davis, White Glove Payroll Grow Together

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Last year was by far the most successful at both HD Davis CPAs and White Glove Payroll. And that success is directly attributable to client relationships, says Angela Johnson, communications coordinator. 

HD Davis CPAs, founded in 2007, offers accounting services for businesses and individuals and continues to grow every year. White Glove Payroll, a subsidiary company, was founded in 2018.

In 2019, HD Davis CPAs increased revenues by 20%, which resulted from organic growth and clients expanding their services. Last year, its first full year of business, White Glove Payroll added more than 120 new clients.

“We had an exciting year of changes across the board,” Johnson says. “We consolidated our operations on Mahoning Avenue into our building on Churchill-Hubbard Road in Liberty.”

Employment at both HD Davis and White Glove Payroll increased substantially, she adds.

New team members at HD Davis are senior staff accountants Nic Farrant and Lauren Martauz, staff accountants Daniel Christofides and Zachary Hilbert, and administrative assistant Tia Trissel at the Massillon office. Added at White Glove Payroll were Marcy Angelo, director of client relations, and Ashley Brindle, payroll concierge.

“We successfully completed our first HD Change Campaign with Potential Development School for Students with Autism,” Johnson says. “A fundraising event was held at Birdfish Brewing in Columbiana in November and we raised about $18,000 between our staff and the community.” 

Goals for 2020 at HD Davis are to expand the firm’s remote CFO – chief financial officer – and consulting services. At White Glove Payroll, new technology packages will be implemented for tracking employee benefits, HR consulting, temporary staffing and job placement services.
