Heritage Thermal to Upgrade Analytics Lab
EAST LIVERPOOL – The upgrade project at Heritage Thermal Services’ analytics laboratory is expected to be completed this year, bringing with it improved efficiency at the site.
Heritage Thermal is a hazardous waste disposal company that uses a furnace burning at 1,800 degrees to degrade or eliminate chemicals.
“Incineration solids are carefully removed and sent to an authorized hazardous landfill. Combustion gas passes through a high-tech array of emission controls before being released through a single stack at levels that are far below EPA permitted limits,” explains President Christopher T. Pherson. “Safety, compliance and relationships are the guiding values of our operation.”
The company employs 175, with staff working around the clock to safely process and dispose of materials.
Heritage Thermal sponsors an annual collection of household hazardous wastes on Earth Day and offers grants to fund environmental projects. In East Liverpool, it supports initiatives such as Communicycle, Veterans Day meals at American Legion Post 374 and the Ceramic City Jazz, Blues & BBQ Festival.
