Hill International Trucks Sets Records

EAST LIVERPOOL – Hill International Trucks experienced tremendous growth in 2019, resulting in it reaching its aggressive goals. The company set several internal records and was recognized among its industry’s top tier.

Hill International capitalizes on its unique product offerings, according to Nick Frantzis, marketing coordinator. High-end heavy haul trucks, dump trucks, packers and several other specialty trucks are regularly stocked on its lots in East Liverpool, Eighty Four, Pa., and Wheeling, W.Va. 

Trucks of these types usually take several months to be delivered to customers when they buy from other dealers. Having these trucks in stock allows Hill International to provide a superior buying experience, he says.

Hill International Trucks is more than just a new-truck dealer; it also sells pre-owned trucks and operates three parts departments, three service departments, a body shop and a mobile maintenance fleet.  

The company, founded in 1897, employs 325 and still operates with family values, Frantzis says.   

The pre-owned truck department brought in more pre-owned trucks than ever before last year and sold about 750, making it one of largest International pre-owned truck dealers in the country, he says.  

The parts departments introduced RepairLink, an online parts ordering system, and were also Navistar’s fastest growing in its tier in 2019.

Looking ahead in 2020, Hill is expecting around 1,500 attendees at its biannual truck show in West Virginia.
