Hollywood Gaming Posts Best August Ever
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course posted its best August ever, with $117,451,494 wagered on its video lottery terminals.
The total is just under $2 million more than what was played in July – $115.9 million, also a record for that month at the Austintown racino – and shy of the all-time monthly record, March 2019’s $118.9 million. In August 2019, wagers totaled $102,325,471.
The racino was closed March 14 to June 19 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Winnings in August totaled $104,526,637 – a payout percentage of 90.43% – up from $90,763, 834.
Penn National Gaming, which owns Hollywood Gaming, received $7,439,944 and the Ohio Lottery Commission received $3,766,776.
Of the seven VLT sites in Ohio, MGM Northfield ranked No. 1 for wagers with $207.02 million.
