Home Savings Donates $10K to YWCA Art Show

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Home Savings Charitable Foundation recently donated a check for $10,000 to the YWCA of Youngstown to sponsor “Women Artists: A Celebration!”

This year’s show begins with a preview party tonight and runs through July 18 at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave. It features 125 works by 71 artists.

“The art show highlights and supports women artists and their contributions to the arts in our community. The show provides a platform for local, regional, and national women artists to express their creativity and gain recognition for their talents,” said Leah Merritt, YWCA of Youngstown president and CEO.

Proceeds from the show benefit the Barbara Wick Transitional Housing program for women.

“We’re proud to be able to support the YWCA of Youngstown in its mission to provide safe places for women and girls, build strong female leaders, and advocate for women’s rights and civil rights in Congress,” said Colleen Scott, director, Home Savings Charitable Foundation.

The show is open for viewing from 12 to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and until 7 p.m. Thursdays. The show is closed July 2 to 4 and all Sundays except July 10.

Tonight’s preview party is a ticketed event. Those interested in attending should call 330 746 6361, ext. 102 for more information.
