Homemaid Updates Scheduling, Time Tracking System

WARREN, Ohio — Since 2009, Homemaid Helpers LLC, has been providing residential and commercial cleaning services as well as home care.

In 2020, Homemaid plans to still provide quality care to their homecare clients in Trumbull and Mahoning counties, says owner Kathy Smith. The business instituted a new scheduling and time tracking system that allows Homemaid to better serve their clients. Benefits were also made available to their 55 employees, she says.

To fill the needs of their clients, Homemaid is taking a look at the population, which is getting older as a whole, Smith says. More people are requiring care that allows them to stay at home, she says. To fill this need, more caregivers will be hired, she says.

It’s a challenge to find and keep new employees to serve the needs of the growing client base, Smith says. Homemaid is looking at how to increase wages and benefits for employees while still keeping the costs down for clients, she says. Revenue growth in 2019 went up 11.4%, she says.
