‘Hometown Holly Days’ in New Castle Starts Today

NEW CASTLE, Pa. –Today’s holiday events begin with the ice skating rink in Riverwalk Park opening from 3 to 9 p.m. and will stay open into the weekend.

A holiday choral performance by fifth and sixth grade students from New Castle Area School District will take place near the rink in Riverwalk Park at 6 p.m. tonight. There will also be live music inside The Confluence starting at 7 p.m. featuring Root Theory.

On Friday the Cathedral will be showing the movie Frozen on the big screen at 7 p.m. The Cascade of Lights in Cascade Park will be open to drive through from 5:30 to 8:30pm.

On Saturday at 12:30 p.m. the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas will be playing followed by White Christmas at 3:30 p.m. at the Historic Cascade Warner Theater Museum.

The New Castle Public Library will host a kid’s craft immediately following the 12:30 p.m. movie in the atrium of the Riverplex, at 11 S. Mill St.

At night The Confluence will have Christmas carols, led by the praise team from Word of Life Church.
