How to Handle Political Discussions at Work | The C-Level Strategy Series with Jon Arnold | Segment 3
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – In this multi-part C-Level Strategy Series, Jon Arnold, president of Investment Services at J. Arnold Wealth Management, talks with area business leaders about the issues businesses face every day.
In Segment 3 of the series, the panel discusses how to handle political discussions at work.
“One of the fundamentals of our company is mutual respect,” says Bob Mesaros, president and CEO of Commercial Metal Forming.
“We don’t have to agree with each other, just let’s respect each other.”
Joining Mesaros on the panel are Guy Coviello, president and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber; Barb Ewing, CEO of the Youngstown Business Incubator; and Jeff Leo Herrmann, CEO of the Youngstown Publishing Co.
“I’m in a workplace where public policy is what we do so we can’t go a day without talking about that,” says Coviello.
“It’s just knowing when that discussion is getting too personal and now it’s not productive.”
Upcoming segments will cover more topics. You can view the discussion in its entirety here.
