NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Hitch-Hiker Manufacturing, a producer of concession trailers based in New Middletown and its division, Personal Protected LLC, are amazing places to work and experience a small town, family-owned company that has a genuine appreciation for employees.

Holly and Jeff Swartz, the owners, understand it takes everyone’s effort for a successful manufacturing business. The employees are a close-knit group that appreciate the extra recognition given for hard work and dedication. The craftsmanship needed to create and fabricate our products is something valued at Hitch-Hiker Mfg.

Many of the workers are longtime employees with Hitch-Hiker Mfg., and have experienced how Jeff and Holly have adapted through adversity and booming times by always ensuring their employees become a vital part of their future plans. When inventing and creating the Quad-Sink, to make certain hand washing is something that can be accessible to the masses, they kept all of us working throughout COVID when many manufacturing plants had to shut their doors.

The creativity and innovation resonate from the top to everyone on the production line. Jeff’s vision for the future is never stagnant, consistently pushing for new and innovative ways to reach the public, and this makes workdays not so ordinary and complacent. When amazing creations of technology and craftsmanship leave our facility, we wonder what Jeff will create next.

Keeping everyone safe and returning us all home to our families the same as we arrived is a priority at Hitch-Hiker Mfg. This is just one of the many undertakings Holly takes very seriously. Her dedication to a safe work environment is a priority. From safety meetings to shop walk-throughs, and talking to the employees on the floor, she is consistently ensuring safety is an important part of the production process.

Not only is the manufacturing process constantly being reviewed, but the employee benefits and opportunities have grown and expanded as well. [This demonstrates] the desire of the company to take appreciation in their employees seriously.
