Jugenheimer Industrial Supplies Joins with Buying Groups

HUBBARD, Ohio – Jugenheimer Industrial Supplies Inc. increased revenue by 9.5% in 2019 as it made its B2B website more user-friendly and expanded vendor-managed inventory programs.

“We now offer a website that enables our customers to track their transactions, place orders and more,” says Sara Jugenheimer-Eicher, vice president and treasurer.

The company, founded in 1976, employs 20.

Partnering with buying groups, Jugenheimer  has expanded product lines. “Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to do business with Jugenheimer,” she says.

Vendor-managed inventory programs include vending machines, secure storage and detailed tracking of product use.

“We are investing in a high quality label machine, which will give us the ability to label using pictures, barcodes, QR codes, descriptions, part numbers, and more,” Jugenheimer-Eicher says.

Challenges the business faces include competing against national contracts where a parent company agrees to do business with one supplier for all locations.

Keeping up with online competition is also a challenge, she adds.
