Junior League Hosts Lunch for Breast Cancer Survivors Oct. 25

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Junior League of the Mahoning Valley will host its 27th annual Pink Ribbon Survivor Tea Luncheon on Oct. 25, inviting breast cancer survivors to celebrate together.

The event, which begins at 11 a.m. at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield, welcomes survivors who were treated at Mercy Health, Salem Regional Medical Center, Southwoods Imaging, Hope Center for Cancer Care, Yellow Brick Place and other community health organizations.

There is no cost for survivors to attend the event; guests are $40 each. 

The featured speaker at the lunch is Michelle Apple,  a clinical dietician and founder of the Apple Breast Cancer Warrior Foundation, which works to lessen the financial burden of those fighting breast cancer. The event’s honorary chairwoman is Andrea Wood, publisher of The Business Journal.

Gina Marinelli, senior gift officer of the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley, will be the event’s emcee, with the Labra Brothers providing musical entertainment. 

The Junior League is accepting items for raffle drawings. Donations and vendor tables are also available.
