Kelly Warren Associates Completes More Deals

BOARDMAN – The Mahoning Valley’s real estate market brought challenges for Kelly Warren & Associates, but the Boardman agency was still able to increase its number of transactions to 457, an increase of 19% from 2018.

Among the challenges, says director of business development Shawn Clark, were high interest rates, low housing inventory and the threat of a shifting market.

“Despite these challenges, the company was recognized as the No. 1 team in the Mahoning Valley for the number of homes sold, listing transactions, buyer transactions and sales volume,” Clark says, citing the 2019 year-end report from BrokerMetrics.

In 2020, the company aims to increase sales 31% through agent recruitment, continuing education and business expansion, including the addition of a second office in Trumbull or Columbiana County.

“Due to an increased demand for property management services, Kelly Warren & Associates plans to create a sister company to address these needs,” Clark continues. “The brokerage plans to double the marketing budget to better advertise listed properties as well as the brand.”

The agency employs 28 and plans to add new employees this year.

“Several employees have been promoted to leadership roles and a third transaction coordinator was added due to growth,” Clark says. “The increase in sales meant a need for hiring a courier, full-time receptionist and client concierge.”

Contributing to high employee retention is a relaxed work environment and work-life balance, he says. Employees volunteer in many local events, including telethons, breast cancer walks and toy and food drives.

Last year the agency was presented with the Ohio Association of Realtors’ Pinnacle of Performance Award, which places it among the state’s top 1% of real estate agencies.
