Kennsington Holds Cosmic Driving Range this Weekend

CANFIELD, Ohio — Kennsington Golf Club will host Cosmic Driving Range from 8 to 11 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Started during Masters Week at the Augusta National Golf Club last April, sponsors call the touring event “a giant interactive game for people of all ages and levels of play.”

The practice fairway at Kennsington will be fitted with targets that glow in the dark and golfers will be provided with balls fitted with LEDs.

Challenges will be set up to allow participants to compete during each round and Ping golf equipment will be given away as prizes. Some events that comprise Cosmic Driving Range are tic tac toe, chipping contests, a car bubble shoot and a long drive competition.

Each bay at the driving range can be reserved in one-hour blocks for between $7 and $9 per person.

A demo day for Ping equipment is set for 3 to 6 p.m. Friday before the Cosmic Driving Range begins and the local band Guys Without Ties will perform Saturday.

Registration and more information are available at CosmicDrivingRange.com.
