KeyBank Earns National Recognition for Diversity

CLEVELAND, Ohio — KeyBank ranked among the top 50 companies in the United States for diversity and inclusion management, according to a company release.

In its Top 50 Companies list for 2019, DiversityInc ranked KeyBank No. 36. Issued annually since 2001, the list recognizes the top U.S. companies that excel in hiring, retaining, and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, LGBT and veterans.

This is KeyBank’s sixth consecutive time being named to the list, and the 10th time overall, said its chief diversity and inclusion officer, Kim Manigault.

“At KeyBank, diversity and inclusion are critical components of how we help our clients and communities thrive,” Manigault said. “This achievement reflects the teamwork of our employees, at all levels, who strengthen our company and deliver distinctive, inclusion-driven business results.”

At an event hosted by DiversityInc in New York, KeyBank ranked on other specialty lists, including No. 5 on the Top 15 Companies for People with Disabilities and No. 13 on the Top 14 Companies for Employee Resource Groups, as well as among the Top Companies for LGBT Employees, according to the release. This recognition comes on the heels of KeyBank’s recent recognition as a 2019 Employee Resource Groups & Councils Top 25 Honor Award winner, in which the Fortune 500 company ranked seventh out of more than 1,000.

“We are proud to call Cleveland our home and KeyBank’s commitment comes alive every day for our employees and clients through a culture where all people are engaged and valued,” says Timothy Burke, KeyBank Northeast Ohio Market president. “We choose this culture not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because it is genuinely who we are and it adds value for our clients, our business and our community.”
