La La Love Healthcare: Supportive Family Leads to Success
The Business Journal emailed family businesses and asked them to share their family lore – often-told anecdotes, mottos, favorite sayings, advice or rules of thumb that are maintained and still relevant today. Here’s one of the responses:
La La Love Healthcare, Campbell
Latisha Weaver-Bennett started La La Love Healthcare in memory of her younger brother who died in a tragic car accident 10 years ago. “I wanted to create something that would not only benefit my family and create jobs and help other families, but something that would also keep my brother’s loving memory alive,” she says.
La La Love Healthcare provides personal care, child care, adult day care and transportation serv-ices as well as tutoring programs and food giveaways.
“I was born and raised in Campbell and reside in Campbell with my loving husband and seven children. My life revolves around my family and my business. I take pride in building such a meaningful and beneficial company that will continue to create jobs, help the community and provide exceptional services to our clients,” Weaver-Bennett says.
I credit my loving family and supportive friends for my success, and I admit that without adequate support and those who have believed in me, I would not have accomplished all that I have today.
La Las Fruit is an extension of La La Love Healthcare. The nonprofit organization works to give children a better and more promising future, she says.
