Lawrence County Historical Society Celebrates 80 Years

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Lawrence County Historical Society will host celebrate its 80th anniversary 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 17 at the New Castle Country Club

At the dinner, the society will honor the New Castle Rotary Club for its role in founding the history organization.

The keynote speaker will be Andrew Masich, president and CEO of the Sen. John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on American and public history. In 2017, he released his most recent book, Civil Ware in the Southwest Borderland, 1861-1867.
