Lawrence Mercer Athena Announces 2018 Award Nominees
HERMITAGE, Pa. – The Lawrence Mercer Athena will honor eight women and its sixth annual Athena Leadership Awards Celebration Oct. 23 in New Wilmington.
Nominated for the Athena Leadership Award are Colleen Chamberlain, human resources director for Youngstown City Schools and proprietor of Penny Allenwood Outdoors; LeAnn Fulena, partner at Robb Leonard Mulvihill law firm; and Michele Goodman-Jones, proprietor of Michele Goodman Studios.
The chapter will also recognize a young woman with the Athena Young Professioanl Leadership Award. Nominees Michelle Bower, program director and dance director at Buhl Community Recreation Center; Anna Marie Mindicino, executive director of Do Good. Period and owner of The Bottler Tree Creative Arts House; Yvonne Ovial, owner of Leaps & Bounds Gymanstics Co.; Michele Truax Ohi, owner of Gowns of Grace and operations director for Guardians Nest Inc.; and Angie Mohr Urban, executive director of New Visions for Lawrence County.

The dinner will be held 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Five Fillies Farm, 3207 State Route 208 in New Wilmington. Single tickets are $55, while couple’s tickets are $100 for two. Table reservations and sponsorships are also available. Tickets can be purchased here.
