Library Invites Public to Meet New Director Jan. 4

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County Board of Trustees is inviting the public to meet Aimee Fifarek, the new executive director, at a breakfast event Jan. 4.

Fifarek comes to the Mahoning Valley from Scottsdale, Ariz., where she was deputy director of information technology and digital initiatives at the Phoenix Public Library. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earning a Master’s degree in English and a B.A. in library and information science.

The meet-and-greet will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. inside the Main Library, 305 Wick Ave.  The public will have an opportunity to share  coffee and a treat with the new executive director.

Fifarek replaces Heidi Daniel, who is now the CEO of the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore.
