McDonald’s Restaurants Raising Funds for East Palestine
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – McDonald’s restaurants in Youngstown, Akron, Cleveland and Canton are chipping in to help raise funds for East Palestine.
The restaurants will donate 20% of dinner sales from 4 to 9 p.m. March 28 to the Brightside Project’s East Palestine Crisis Relief Fund.
Steve Telischek, the operator of a McDonald’s in East Palestine, is leading the donation event.
“We’re proud to be a part of this community, and we know how tough these last few weeks have been,” he said. “We’re so grateful for all the Brightside Project has done to support East Palestine, and we’re happy our support will help them continue serving the community.”
The Brightside Project, a nonprofit established to serve the children in Columbiana County and surrounding communities, is assisting East Palestine through mental health resources, gifts and classroom resources, basic necessities, school clothes, school supplies for local students and more.
“We’re grateful for our local McDonald’s operator’s partnership and support,” said Scott Lewis, executive director of The Bright Project. “The proceeds of this fundraiser will directly benefit our neighbors in East Palestine.”
