McMahon to Headline Chamber Event, Visit CMT
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The U.S. Small Business Administration announced Monday that its administrator, Linda McMahon, will make two stops Thursday during her visit to the Mahoning Valley.
McMahon, SBA administrator since 2017, will be the keynote speaker at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s “Salute to Business” awards ceremony at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman.
Following that, at 9 a.m., McMahon will tour City Machine Technologies in Youngstown.
Last month, CMT participated in the second annual Made in America Product Showcase at the White House. Founded in 1985, CMT specializes in lifting magnets, electric machinery and industrial machining.
Following a tour of the Youngstown company with owner Mike Kovach, McMahon and Portman will discuss the effects of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on for small businesses. CMT credits the law for its decision to purchase new equipment and is adding more jobs within the company, according to an SBA media advisory announcing McMahon’s visit.
