Mercy Health Foundation Gives Mobile Market a Lift
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A contribution from the Mercy Health Foundation will benefit the Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods’ Mahoning Valley Mobile Market.
The donation will enable the Mobile Market to serve more than 7,000 households this year.
The Mobile Market, which aims to combat food insecurity and improve access to fresh, nutritious groceries, brings the grocery store to neighborhoods.
The Mobile Market program works to reach as many people as possible, a news release states. To accommodate a larger number of families, the voucher amount for Mobile Market services will decrease from $25 to $15, effective immediately.
This change will enable Action to effectively serve a broader demographic, the release states.
Alongside the voucher program, the Mobile Market will continue to accept SNAP, EBT, credit cards, debit cards and cash payments.
