Meridian HealthCare, Youngstown Clothing Promote ‘Power of Care’

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Meridian HealthCare is celebrating its 50th anniversary and recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month by partnering with Youngstown Clothing Co. on the limited release of a T-shirt featuring a positive message. 

The shirt includes the phrase “The Power of Care” as a reminder to be kind to others, a news release states.

“We wanted this T-shirt to represent the importance and power of caring for others,” said Renee Amacher, director of communications at Meridian HealthCare. “Sometimes our lives get so busy that we forget how much a simple smile can brighten someone’s day. The Power of Care shirt is a reminder to take time each day to care for those around you and check on the ones you love.”

Youngstown Clothing is donating 10% of the proceeds from each shirt sold to the Meridian HealthCare Foundation. The shirts, which cost $30, can be purchased HERE, with options for shipping or in-store pickup.

“For 50 years, we’ve seen how mental health problems affect those around us,” said Larry Moliterno, president and CEO of Meridian HealthCare. “Everyone has experienced poor mental health at some point in their life, and you never know what someone is going through. The Power of Care shirt reminds you to be kind, compassionate and a good listener. Pay attention to what’s going on between the words.”
