Montessori School Adds 2 Buildings
YOUNGSTOWN – The Montessori School of the Mahoning Valley added two buildings, a playground and space for nearly 60 additional students in 2019.
The school purchased two neighboring houses and transformed them into classrooms. The builings are named Terleski House and Cart House for alumni families who made donations.
“This expansion opened up many opportunities for additional students and teachers so that more children and families can benefit from this child-centered, educational method,” says Rachel Gonatas, executive director.
Renovations were completed by Tom Zebrasky and ZED Design. Zebrasky is an alumni parent and the contractor who built the school’s Stettler House in 1997.
