New Brews at Birdfish Brewing
COLUMBIANA, Ohio — Production capacity at Birdfish Brewing Co. more than doubled from the beginning of 2019 to the end of the year, says co-owner Jonathan Dunn.
With the increase in capacity, Birdfish had 19 can and bottle releases in 2019 and more than half were new brews. This year will bring even more releases, Dunn promises.
Birdfish entered 2019 with the official opening of its Down Low tasting room. This followed a year of planning and executing the expansion.
“The tasting room has a wall of pinball machines, bowling games, and bubble hockey – all owned and operated by our friends at Pirate’s Life Pinball,” says Dunn.
Meanwhile, 2019 marked a historic year for Columbiana when City Council implemented the Mahoning Valley’s first Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area. This area permits people to purchase drinks in special cups from a permitted establishment and walk around the downtown, Dunn says.
During 2019, Birdfish’s Tips for a Cause and other charitable events raised more than $16,000 for various organizations, Dunn says.
